Hydrographische Systeme

SECORX-60

Septentrio, a leading manufacturer of high-precision OEM and housed GNSS receivers for marine applications, today announced the launch of the SECORX-60 correction service at Oceanology International in London. SECORX-60 is a subscription-based service providing over-the-air corrections for Precise Point Positioning (PPP). It uses TerraStar technology and brings sub-decimetre positioning to applications on land and up to 60 km offshore.

SECORX-60 represents the coming together of two great forces in PPP: TerraStar with its proven track record in providing high-quality clock and orbit correction data and Septentrio with an unmatched reputation in turning that correction data into highly precise and reliable positions.’ said Chris Lowet, Product Manager at Septentrio. He continued, ‘With SECORX-60 we’re bringing continuity of operation from onshore, seamlessly to 60 km offshore offering the greatest flexibility to onshore and nearshore users.

SECORX-60 activation plans are available for a range of time durations to suit the needs of the user and will be available from June.

MARINESTAR

Septentrio announced today at Oceanology International in London, an additional version of its AsteRx-U MARINE receiver with support for the Fugro Marinestar service. The AsteRx-U MARINE with Fugro Marinestar PPP support will be available from June.

By incorporating Fugro Marinestar—satellite-based positioning services that make use of GPS, Glonass, Galileo and BeiDou—the AsteRx-U MARINE can deliver sub-decimetre accuracy at any global location. Continuity of operation is guaranteed by correction transmission over nine overlapping beams. To complement the standard satellite broadcast delivery channels, internet delivery is also available using Ntrip (Networked Transport of RTCM via Internet Protocol).

The AsteRx-U MARINE has already established itself as receiver of choice for users requiring highly precise and reliable positioning offshore. Now, with an additional version dedicated to FUGRO Marinestar PPP it has moved further ahead of the field offering even greater flexibility to offshore users’ said Chris Lowet, Product Manager at Septentrio.

The AsteRx-U MARINE together with Fugro Marinestar requires no additional hardware to provide precise and reliable quad-constellation PPP positioning for offshore application such as dredging, marine construction, navy, hydrographic, wind farm and oceanographic research.
